Still waiting for a FIX!!! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this application....right up till it stopped working totally! Please, pretty please FIX IT. I'm dyslexic and those ad bars make it impossible for me to read and reply to my email or get anything done on the net. It worked flawlessly up till December 22 or 23, then it just plain quit. I must assume the advertising creeps found a way around your stellar work. Praying you can get this application working again soon.

Another fix is coming up in version 4.2

Should be any day now - just waiting for Firefox approval.

Webmail Ad Blocker Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great addon for Firefox, I use Yahoo just for newsletters, etc. that I want to track and the right side bar is always empty, huge waste of space, killed that wasted bar as soon as it was installed....

Excellent! I really needed to expand the right side ads in Yahoo mail and expand the mailbox to the full width of the page. It did the job.

NO LONGER WORKS with the NEWEST Yahoo Mail Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I just started using this about 2 weeks ago and it seemed to work fine UNTIL Yahoo decided to change their e-mail tool very recently.

Now this add-on no longer expands to the width of the screen like before.

Please fix if you can.

whew! that mess of manic movement to the right of the yahoo inbox screen was driving me mad. now, just like that, it's gone. still in the process of finding someplace else for my mail. i've had yahoo for about ten years and loved it for all but the last three. now everything in yahoo has changed for the worst. their home page, calendar, email, comments sections for articles, the way articles are presented, the way pictures and videos are posted . . . everything! it's no longer worth using. especially frustrating is the fact that they don't listen to their users and, apparently, don't use what they produce. how could even yahoo like what they've become? thanks again for this add-on. i can stop hanging the hand towel over the right side of my monitor. it was the only way i could check my mailbox in peace.

sorry about the rant. i just needed to get that off my chest. at least here, i know someone listens and is sympathetic.

Terriffic Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It's amazing how such a seemingly simple and small thing can have such a large positive impact on the user experience. Yahoo mail just got infinitely more friendly by reclaiming all that empty space on the right. Thanks.

Relief Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I already had AdBlocker+, so the right side of Yahoo webmail was already ad-free, but the big empty waste of space on the right side remained.

Just added Webmail Ad Blocker, and now the big empty space on the right side of yahoo webmail is gone, and the yahoo headings and emails fill the entire width of the screen (beautifully).

There's no conflict between AdBlocker+ and Webmail Ad Blocker.

I don't notice any change with my gmail.

Didn't try Webmail Ad Blocker with outlook.com or hotmail.com; I don't use them because of their "issues."

I think Webmail Ad Blocker is helpful and innocuous. Eliminating the big, empty, unusable space on the right side of the monitor brings a sense of relief. If you install it and find a problem, I'd be surprised. But then, just uninstall it; no biggie -- but that's not going to happen.

---------

I used this addon years ago, and it was always good. Never had an issue with Webmail Ad Blocker being "detected" and having my email denied. But if it were to ever happen, it would be easy enough to disable the addon. Certainly, there's no problem today.

But I hadn't had Webmail Ad Blocker installed on this computer. When I finally had it up to Here with yahoo, I had to find this addon, again. If you don't remember its name, then you can have some trouble finding the proper search term to re-find it. Trouble finding it was aggravated by my looking for "the addon that increases the real estate on yahoo webmail," not for its ad-blocking abilities, especially since AdBlocker+ was already at work. The name "Webmail Ad Blocker" doesn't much suggest anything about eliminating the useless right column. Finally, I simply searched for "Yahoo," and found Webmail Ad Blocker listed on page 6, or something.

And then, I was going to tip a couple of bucks. (Jason doesn't ask for much). So I click on Contribute, the whole page goes gray (the way it's supposed to), paypal was summoned, but no form for contributing ever popped up. Tried disabling a lot of security software and addons and trying again, but still couldn't get the paypal form to appear. Maybe something's broken today; maybe if I remember to try contributing tomorrow, it will be better...

Thanks for this! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've been extremely frustrated with my Yahoo Inbox having to view my emails in such a narrow window now and using that ridiculous left/right slider to view an entire email! Your add-on took care of it!

Works Like A Charm! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Awesome addon. I had a very stubborn game that I like to play, and I always have trouble with blocking ads. Either they don't block, or it blocks the game too. This one works!

AB-FAB Ad Blocker!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I swore I would have a seizure because of this stupid flashing ad from PC Health boost that always showed up when I was looking at my Yahoo mail-this got rid of all the ads on either side!!!! TERRIFIC!!! Wish I had done this sooner. Refuse to pay Yahoo 19.99 just to avoid the annoying ads. Thank you sooooo much for this add-on/extension.

The only issue I have with this add-on is that disabling bottom info/text of Gmail does not work. Perhaps an update could fix this?

Other than that it's a wonderful add-on! Makes reading e-mail more comfortable! It hides all the ads in Yahoo Mail, Gmail, as well as Hotmail! Thank you for making this wonderful add-on!
