This plugin really needs to have an icon shortcut for Firefox! The new Firefox versions do not show the toolbar by default. From this view, it is impossible to access TamperData! Please add the ability to show an icon somewhere. We should not have to download yet another extension just to use use TamperData. It's annoying. The plugin works great, once you find out how to open and use it!

One of the most useful essentials!

Update it! Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I loved it but the UI is glitched on newer versions of Firefox.

Does what it says and it does it well. There are some minor hiccups with how it looks but it's neither major nor does it hinder the usage at all - still worth full 5 stars.

Security issues with this Addon Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Security Issues founded with your Addon: http://www.breakthesecurity.com/2012/11/how-to-upload-shell-via-tamper-data-hack.html#more

Misleading

The linked article documents how to break into a site using TamperData, NOT a security flaw in TamperData.

The exploit described is exactly the kind of fault in security coding that TamperData, and a good security testing plan is designed to help detect. Proper security testing, which a tool like TamperData can be part of, should be a part of the dev/qa cycle for exactly this reason.

TamperData is a testing tool, not a hacking tool, but this article is evidence that, like all tools, it can be misused. I don't support this.

I face login problem on all websites while using tamper data. But the same logins work without any problem without it. I think the plugin is buggy.

My Best Or Favorite Add-on is Tamper Data.

This Is Best..... Really Awesome Invent.

Basic yet so useful Rated 4 out of 5 stars

A must have pen-test tool for every security enthusiast : practical, easy to use and saved me a lot of time rather than going through a third party tool and fixing a proxy for altering the traffic, used it when i was a student to track vulnerabilities in some web sites that i have of course declared and i am still using it now as a security consultant in financial software company.Adding a filter to alter only a specific request when monitoring the traffic (like GET or POST or a request with a specific URL ) will be a great feature because it's kind of annoying having a pop-up for every unwanted request. Worth 4 stars review just to encourage the developer to turn this add-on into complete pen-test tool with more advanced features(like fuzzer, spider or advanced cookies editor) .

Great addon! But also I would like to be able to change method of request (GET to POST and vice versa) and to be able to catch GET/POST requests sent by other addons.
