i-cite - a bibliographic tool for life scientists 0.9.24.0 Requires Restart
We are embarking on a re-engineering of i-cite in anticipation of the new Firefox release. For the duration of the work we will temporarily disable the installation of i-cite. Please visit us later.
About this Add-on
It employs text mining tools to recognize protein names in PubMed abstracts and link them to corresponding UniProt entries and to recognize chemical compounds and add a popup displaying their two-dimensional structure.
More information about i-cite can be found in the following publications (in order of increasing detail):
(1) R. Easty and N. Nikolov (2009) Mashing up life science literature resources. Joint IEEE/ACM Conf. on Digital Libraries. http://portal.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1555473&dl=ACM

This is still an experimental release. Please help us improve i-cite by submitting your comments/feature requests/bug reports.
