Didn't work Rated 1 out of 5 stars

No matter how I map the hotkeys or anything, it does absolutely nothing when I hit them.

It is a very nice add-on. However, when it translate the original line of words into the target language, how can I change back? I may want to look at the original language again.

Nice but... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Nice but it doesn't keep the original empty lines. It doesn't keep also the linefeeds after a dot. It put all the translated text together in a single block.

Kudos, and suggestion/question Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I'm learning a new language and I find this addon very helpful indeed. I wish, however, that one had the option of easily toggling selected text back and forth between languages. I find it helpful to re-read the original with my newfound understanding. If there already is an easy way of doing this, I would very much appreciate being enlightened.

Пользовался AmTraslator - громоздко и неповоротливо, после прехода на это дополнения ни чуть не пожалел - просто и удобно!!! 5+

Egyszerű, de remekül működő add-on. A legjobb, hogy az eredeti ablakban jeleníti meg a fordítást. Öt csillag.

It's the only one that works. It's fast, and it works for selections or the page. However, it doesn't work nearly as well as Chrome when it comes to working with foreign languages. With Chrome, it does all aspects of the page, including the sidebars with links, and when you click a link it will translate that page. You can navigate normally as if you weren't translating at all, thus providing a seamless browsing experience in another language. Nothing in Firefox is available to do anything close to that. It's kinda like Google Maps on hand-held devices. Google Maps works on about anything, but they only work right on Android. Of course Firefox has a plethora of plugins that Chrome doesn't, which is the reason that I use it. In summary, if you just need some specific text translated, this works. If you need to research articles and related pages in a foreign language, fire up Chrome and paste the URL in there.

This addon is what I needed to not regret Chrome. So far it does an excellent job, and there's really nothing I can complain of.
I hope the author will keep up with his excellent job.

Its ok Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Like it. But I would prefer a pop-up when translating selected text (instead of changing it on the page). Maybe could be added as an option for the user to choose...

Perfect for me Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This little add-on is quite convenient for me. Just pressing the T-Button translates the page (using google) or select + T translates selected portions of the text. Sure, this doesn't always work (i.e. not in javascript driven editors) but I can live with it.

I'm really trying hard to like Mozilla. One of the things I missed from Chrome was an instant page translator. Thought this add-on would solve the problem. It doesn't. If you click on the Translate option, it immediately transfers you to the Google Translate page where it takes ages to translate. You are then left with the page you wanted translating, but can't go back to the original site you were browsing (far as I can see). Tested the same page in Chrome - instant offer of translation at top of page and instant translation (still on same website). In my opinion, there's no comparison.

Hi, you must do something really wrong. If you press page translation, a new tab opens with the translation. I don't understand what ages it takes to translate, it automatically shows up what Google itself would show you.

Once the word is translated you can't change it back to the original language ie it changes the web page. If the text translated was part of a link it also disables the link so you cant use that part of the web page any longer.

Suggest that you change it such that there is an option to change the text only while holding down the Shift +Right mouse button and then the text reverts as soon as the Shift button is released.

Yes, this option is planned to be implemented. However, there is a way to change it back: refresh the page. The thing you wrote about disabling the link, this all is written in the description field.
