Furjournal Extension 2006.11.08 Requires Restart
I created this extension to serve as a bridge between Firefox and the Furjournal blogging service. It provides a couple of helpful features to that end, such as autologin, technorati tagging, updates checking and speedy access to relevant pages...
About this Add-on
This extension now has all the fixes and features I intended it to have and everything works as I expected it to. Therefore this should be considered as the final version until such a time when a new official Firefox version is released that requires another update.
o [New] Had a particularly nifty idea for technorati tagging, which worked out pretty well. Check out the help file for information on how to use FJE to create technorati tags.
o [New] Update checking can now be done via group open, optionally.
o [New] Check for updates feature, have the extension check for new comments, replies or watch-list activity (and open the appropriate items into tabs). Configurable via options page 2.
o [Update] The 'load in current tab' option didn't actually add a history entry, this would've been awkward with the new updates checker, so now it does.
o [Fix] Auto-login could go a bit loopy with empty Furjournal login fields, now it's froopy instead (which is better).
o [Update] Changed the default menu accesskeys so they're all now unique.
o [Update] The domain dropdown is now also an editbox for convenience.
o [Fix] If small icons aren't selected, button should now be of appropriate size across themes (24px/32px).
o [Fix] The Recent Comments (default) menu item stopped working.
o [Fix] In advanced options, only the first four keys would save.
o [New] Dropdown for domains (URLs must be updated or options should be reset).
o [New] Backup Journal item added for easy access to that feature.
o [New] Popup to request alt/link text when pasting an item from the clipboard.
o [New] Text can be highlighted in the add journal entry textbox, which will become the alt/link text instead.
o [Update] Substantial cleanups.
o [Update] Restart is no longer needed for toggling context-menu options on/off.
o [Fix] Autologin might've been responsible for page-load slowdowns.
o First public release.
