Why not make this extension available to SeaMonkey users? It works in SeaMonkey if one can get it to install. There is a converter now which was able to modify the install files to do that.

Awesome addon!

One thing is odd though, it doesn't apply the content-type when you undo a close tab.

resolve my problem perfectly.
beware to use regex url rules with ".*", not "*" only.

indispensible Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is a supper addon.

Som simple way(s) to toogle the addon on/off would have made it most perect.

Didn't work Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The console log shows it triggering when an html page embeds an application/octet-stream image (which firefox displays regardless), but it does not trigger when I load the image by itself (and I still get the save-file dialog.)

Didn't help Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It successfully detected and changed content-types, but not for requests initiated from a URL in the location bar.

The user interface is buggy. The extension doesn't even show in the extension list, and it can't be uninstalled via the normal process.

This fixed an annoying problem that I was having where I would click a link to a csv file and it would open in a browser window instead of an application of my choice (Excel in this case). I searched and searched for a fix to this and this extension did it.

Doesn't work on all machines for unknown reasons Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Doesn't always work but great when it does. I use this to make some SEC files with txt extensions, plain/text content-types, and HTML-encodings look right.

In some computers where I have installed the program I can get this add-on to work and others not. I've tried clean installs, re-installation of Firefox, and tweaking the options and nothing works when it doesn't install properly. I had one friend successfully install it and another fail. All on Windows and all with the most recent Firefox. As far as I can tell there is no support system to get it to work, so that really takes away from the benefits of the program. I also was unable to successfully get the program to work on Ubuntu.

Still, when it works it does exactly what I want and it is free.

Disables FoxReplace Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This add-on interrupts FoxReplace ( regex text replacer ) to work.

Almost Perfect Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great extension but i miss feature to add custom Content Type to dropdown list.
Sometimes i need to go to about:config to manually set content type because it isn't listed in dropdown list.

Working! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

If it is not working for you, the chance are that your regex is not correct. Try something simple at first. The example for .aspx files - ".*aspx"(without quotes).
It would be great if author added simple examples to description of addon.

Useless =(

Some badly configured web servers deliver *.pdf files with "Content-Type: application/octet-stream" instead of the correct "Content-Type: application/pdf", and as a result Firefox wouldn't open a PDF viewer.

This add-on very easily allowed me to workaround that problem.

One feature that I missed: a possibility to get a warning (pop-up box) about a content-type being replaced, such that I remain aware of what is going on.

There is a Firefox 3 compatible and simplified version of this addon available at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10636

Not Certain Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I thought this add-on might be able to help me but not sure. I want xml pages to load in the browser rather than be subscribed to in the bookmarks tool. Sometimes it does so automatically and others it won't work and keeps trying to subscribe. I can't figure out why and can't figure out if this is able to do what I want after all.

Really hope if someone will just take over the project and make it work for future versions of Firefox.

A handy tool to handle some download problem of torrent or rar files.

How to resolve problem with version Rated 5 out of 5 stars

To fuorigioco1981:
You can download *.xpi file manually from page "See All Versions". XPI file is a ZIP archive and you can extract all files from it archive. After extract you can modify install.rdf. Open it file and change tag em:maxVersion. I change 2.0.0.* version on 4.0.0.*. After that pack all files again in *.xpi file and drag&drop new *.xpi file in Firefox3. After that you can appear standard Add-On dialog and install that AddOn without problems.

Thank you very much.

I love this plugin - it's very useful for me when debugging REST APIs that for some reason do not set text/xml, as they should.

Just - please please please - support FF 3!
