Ok this is really frustrating, exactly what I want but those options are in NONE of those places.

Used to work perfectly, but not any more. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is simply a rundown of how I got this functionality back.

Install the Customizable Shortcuts addon, and go in and disable the shortcut to open the download window. Then, go and install the addon Keyboard Shortcut; from there, you can set up a custom keyboard shortcut to open about:downloads in a new tab.

Doesn't work, but here's a replacement Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I loved this ad-in and wish it still worked. Grrrr. After trying several replacements I've settled on Download Status Bar. (I have no relationship with it -- this is just FYI). Here's the link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/download-status-bar/

Doesn't seem to work Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Doesn't seem to work in Firefox 26. I get an empty tab, and sometimes the separate downloads window too.

Not working in firefox 26 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Not working in firefox 26

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I am a huge fan of this plugin, and I am really sad it does not work anymore with FF 26. It seems Firefox replaced the download API, which broke this extension. See https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/XPCOM_Interface_Reference/nsIDownloadManager

Like a lot of others Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Like a lot of others I've used this plugin for a loooong time and since FF 26.0 it has stopped working. I'll 5 star it as it always worked well. FF 26.0 has killed it and Mozilla sucks for its new download interface. DON'T FIX WHAT AIN'T BROKE. There was nothing wrong with the old download interface with this add-on and this should have become part of FF instead of the crappy interface we now have with 26.0.Please update this plugin and give me back a working download tab.

BTW you can have a tab "about:downloads" but there is no clear downloads button.

Disappointment Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Well, I should give this a 0 stars rating because the add-on does nothing in my FF 26.0. I have checked the options in all sorts of combinations and permutations with no luck. No download tab, no listing of my downloads. If I am required to go to about:config, or some other place, and tweak something then I wish it was part of explicit instructions on the add-on page. Disappointed here.

download list is always empty Rated 3 out of 5 stars

it looks like the list becomes empty every day. If i disable the extension, i have the list of the download directory but when i re-activate the extension, and if i downlolad something, the list will be empty after sometimes. I have firefox 25
on another computer i works well. Is there a wrong parameter somewhere?

No Longer Works In Firefox 26 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Rated 5 stars because Ive used this plugin since its inception have been extremely pleased with everything about it. As of yesterday, however, with the release of Firefox beta 26, this add-on no longer works. The strange thing is, there is no indication when looking at the add-on tab that there is any incompatibility with the newest version of Firefox. Ive uninstalled the addon and reinstalled it just to make sure I wasnt making a mistake, but sure enough, no downloads are shown in the download tab; instead, they just go to Firefox's default download manager. Please fix this ASAP! I love having my downloads in a tab.

Add this to base Firefox! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Say "Yay!" if you agree this should be a natural part of FF and not just an add-on!

Funciona! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Extensão Bonitinha. Funciona Muito Bem. Parabéns ao Desenvolvedor

Still not working... Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The "show all downloads" button opens the default Firefox download manager window instead of a tab.

This addon only works if you set it to automatically open the download tab when a download starts.

Suggestion Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I have one suggestion/problem that you might want to consider. I always close open tabs in FF by hitting CTRL+W, but when i try to do the same thing with the "downloads tab", i get a message asking me if i want to close all the tabs, that are open at that moment. I don't want to close the "downloads tab" instantly, so i can't select the option "close tab when download done".

Super, though tab title could be cleaner. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is really great, also because it just does what one needs and nothing more, that's also what keeps it so light weight, another bonus!
I am therefore personally not interested in a progress bar or favicon but a small improvement could be to change the title of the tab to something like 'downloads', rather than the chrome:/etc. location that is displayed now.

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A MUST-have add-on, because firefox's new download window loves to disappear, with no way to bring it back, so that you can't keep track of a download's progress.

Also, I have firefox 21, & it works in it as advertised.

problem with firefox 20 Rated 2 out of 5 stars

It does not work in Firefox 20, and no tab is opened when one download starts :/
