Turns Blue, But Downloads Nothing! Version 45 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I see the icon, the arrow is blue, yet it won't download the video, show me a picture of anything, offer any options, nothing, it just sits there...

working 100% recomended Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've been searching a downloader for dailymotion, tried a lot, some videos wouldn't download with the stream of the sound right, this is the only one that worked, like a charm. Totally recommended, THANKS!!!!

Great, but impove toolbarbutton Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It's great to download flash and movie files. It would be nice if toolbarbutton could not change its size when movie files are detected. It would be also nice if settings could be accessible from toolbarbutton even if inactive (not detected any flash file). It could appear after in context menu, but also after left click, when no file is detected.

Not working anymore... For me Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I was very happy with such a lightweight video and flash downloadeder, but it suddenly stopped working after an upgrade. Strangely enough, other video downloader addons don't work for me, either, just netvideohunter and video downloader professional (the more little in size I decided to try that worked).

Not sure what the issue is, although I hope it's fixed: I was very happy with this addon, and able to get content which other downloaders wouldn't allow me to download.

Anyway. thanks!

It does work! (真的能用!) Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It does work! I have tried many other extensions but only this one can download FB videos with HD quality.
(我試過許多其他套件,只有這個套件可以成功下載FB裡面的HD畫質的影片。)

Firefox Ver 43.0.1 - - - It Downloads Well but there is NOT a Download-In-Progress Status-Indication Available Rated 3 out of 5 stars

As this reviews title stated, as-of the Firefox Ver 43.0.1 at least (for me) the download capability was/is still functional.

I read a previous review here by someone who said that this item (Download Flash and Video) no longer worked as of Firefox updating to Version 42. That seems to have been at least partially patched back together..

An example of what WASNT patched back together is that, just moments ago I downloaded a 38 minute FLV video, a typical promo clip..but once the download started, it was a guessing game about the status of the download in-progress..

I was on a WIFI connection, have downloaded several videos of varying sizes and know how long that clip should approximately taken. It downloaded at (or about) the expected typical time.

THE THING IS THIS :::: Usually when you're downloading a file you have some kind of way you click an icon or a button or something which displays the progress of the download. I'm sure you are familiar with that. It usually has the name of the file, the size of the file, the download speed in-progress, and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, the expected amount of time remaining (or a close approximation thereof) for the download to complete.
NONE OF THAT TYPE OF INFORMATION WAS AVAILABLE....no pop-up info....no tasktray bubble caption....no nothing

After about 2 minutes into the download, I was able to open the portion of the partially received file and view it until it stopped in mid-play. Then wait a few more minutes, and repeat, and so on until the entire file appeared to be viewable. That's how I was able to know the download was complete (and that the video downloaded fully in completely watchable condition)..

There's tons of downloader options out there... I was just looking into this one.. I think I'm gonna keep on looking..

I still gave this three stars because it does integrate into Firefox very nicely. It has a download icon which nests in the Firefox Toolbar area (that upper right area of the browser to the right of the address bar where a few other little icons also are...) You click that icon and can begin the download almost effortlessly, and everything to that point seems flawless.. so for that I still give it 3 Stars. it does do approximately 60% of what you expect... before essentially you are 'blindfolded' for the rest of the download until it is complete...

If that's not an issue for you,, you might be satisfied with this..

best of luck...

Best Video Downloader I Have Used Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have installed a great many Firefox Add-Ons for downloading videos, But in the past the ones I tried have had various irritating issues.

Many can't download from http://www.dailymotion.com/au For some reason lots of video downloaders have issues with that particular website.

Some others try and promote their other unwanted products via their Add-On.

Then there are those which repeatedly ask you to specify your downloads folder location.

Many other video downloaders don't clear the list of available downloads when you have left the website and require you to do that manually.

This video downloader Add-On is the best I have used to date as it works on all the websites I have visited.

This Add-On truly deserves the 5 star rating I have given it.

Download Flash & Video AND Mail.ru -- a perfect match! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have an excellent dowloader for YouTube -- "YouTube Video and Audio Downloader". However for other sites, this one can't be beat. It works on many sites that other add-ons fail. It is especially helpful on Mail.ru for older music videos. Many of these are country-blocked or in horrible quality on YouTube. If you're searching for a downloader beyond YouTube, this is the one to get!

Love this addon but it broke with FF 42 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This addon allows me to download videos from a Korean drama website where my paid version of VSO Downloader fails. So I give this addon five stars. Stopped working when I upgraded to FF 42 though. Wonder why it broke...

Causes normal viewing of YouTube to fail Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I've used this a lot, but honestly never on YouTube. A while back, I noticed that YouTube videos would occasionally fail to start, showing only the rotating dots wait indicator. Eventually that progressed into virtually all YouTube videos failing to play.

I finally found that disabling this extension made YouTube work again. Note that I wasn't even attempting to download the videos; the mere presence of the extension made YouTube fail. (I'm sure it has to do with the extension discovering the streams that were downloadable. Whether that means that it's a flaw in the detection, or that YouTube is intentionally breaking that detection I don't know.)

Interestingly, it seems that YouTube continues to work after I reenable the extension. Perhaps there is something that gets cleared out by disabling and reenabling that isn't cleared out by simply restarting Firefox.

Not working - and kinda shady Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Does not seem to work (currently at least), and the website is surprisingly devoid of any details (who makes this, why, what else did they do, how is it free?) - only the same blurb everywhere.
I would recommend to stay clear.
