Why was CookieExFilter created?
When I added a cookie exception rule wrongly (Block rather than Allow for Session) that had come from a sub-domain which began with random letters and numbers making it almost impossible to recall, I tried to find and remove this rule from the list, but could not find it. I realised what I needed was a simple search capability, so I looked through the addons gallery but the results, bar one, seemed not to have what I wanted. This one result, however, didn't work with FF4, had extra things that I did not want and required shared use of the url input bar. Therefore I decided the only option left was to create my own add-on to do what I wanted.
What's next for CookieExFilter
Now will be mainly only version bumps, but if any bugs are found, I plan to fix them, and possibly speed improvements.
