Worse privacy? Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Increasingly, the list of blocked sites has been showing hidden ads by name but not blocking them. This is a feature-rich and free add-on which is apparently designed mainly to block LSO's, so who can really complain, but the company's web site is written in corporatese, offering solutions to publishers and clients both, and doesn't block the NYTimes for example, which displays articles with the last name of a random blog I once clicked onto in its automated recommendations. Funny that.
This add-on has been designed to protect you against tracking, but intentionally *not* to stop any annoyances like pop-ups or similar undesired web contents.
Even special efforts were made to prevent *any* modification of original web-content, what actually means that the add-on never will (and never should) change the content of web pages.
So if you look for an add-on to hide any annoyances like pop-ups, consider to use AdBlockPlus instead (or as enhancement)
