best add on for banned sites

It's a ressource hog and cause conflicts with other add-ons. The proxies are slow and some of them are blacklisted so as to be unusable. Also there's a number of pop up advertisments that are irritating. But even worse than all this, I suspect it is full of spyware, as the speed of my Firefox and my whole computer tripled since I removed Anonymox.

it's just say "starting" but it stay there. Is that because it isn't compatible with firefox 39?

It should be compatible. We've had some server issues at that time, but if the problem persist, please contact us at

Me too, uninstalled Rated 1 out of 5 stars

As I said before the add on has daily usage limit which was never disclosed. After reading the feedback, its best to deinstall it and use others.

The product description reveals all:
"Please note: anonymoX will make your Internet slower
This is because you use anonymization servers of our free-to-use anonymization network.
We pay for these servers, you use them for free. That only works as long as we limit speed for free usage"

In addition, I've received three ads for this addon in the process of creating an account to write this review. I noticed it has a 'disable' button, not that I believe it wouldn't trigger something else as a result. I've no doubt the product works and it's a fantastic idea, but not at the cost of speed and that sinking feeling you only can get when an ADDON interrupts your browsing with a popup ad that goes right past any popup/adblock utility (yes I know it's Java). I am uninstalling this but again, I see the promise in this utility, it's just marketed terribly and has some unnecessary fluff and bloat living in the code.

BEWARE! I installed this add-on last week, and found a nasty, persistent Javascript that kept re-setting my proxy settings automatically. I loaded the script into a browser with No Script enabled, and it showed a bunch of XSS code that gave other sites permissions, and changed all sorts of shit.

A Javascript that sets proxy settings is core part of this Add-On. When you uninstall this Add-On, the script will also be removed. Don't see a problem with that.

About the XSS issue, you've probably mistaken that with some 3rd-party code. This Add-On is reviewed by the Mozilla team and certainly contains no malicious code. You could as well address Mozilla directly if you have any security concerns, they will happily block this Add-On if true.

If you are interested in a resolution, please contact us at If this is supposed to be some hateful, groundless attempt just to lower the rating, don't.

One more comment for this addon haters Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Most of you throw mud at this addon comparing it with Zen and Browsec. Please note that it all depends on your location/country rules. Been using both Zen and AnonymoX for a very long time, both are sterling. However, now I can't use Zen anymore cause it's already blocked in my country, so is Browsec. AnonymoX is still greatly on. So please, check the situation more carefully before posting sh*t.

Not satisfied with its working specially I cant change ip using it so no use for ant person who want to swtich ip.

Have you tried the "Switch Identity" button? There should be around 10 IPs.

works but is not anonymous proxy Rated 3 out of 5 stars

The soft works but this is not anonymous how its claims. I've been detected in several Ip leak tests. They could past through the webproxy filtering and detect my IP, OS, browser fingerprint and other privacy settings

This user has a previous review of this add-on.

The mentioned site probably uses Flash or Java to detect the IP address. Flash and Java are not supported by anonymox, you should turn them off if you need best anonymity.

You can switch OS and browser fingerprint in the Add-On (menu "More"), it is not changed by default because it confuses websites.

ty and goodbye! Rated 2 out of 5 stars

After a good while i decided finally to move on and have other tool similar with this one that can do the job much better. All i can say that is not worth having it in your browser. The most annoying about it are the adverts that keep pop up in the middle of your screen.
