Developer is dead? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I'm sorry to say, but I think the developer of this extension is either dead or no longer cares to support this extension. We haven't seen an update in over 5 months and he does not reply to emails or reply to reviews anymore.
I've never had so much trouble in getting a developer to respond.. so either worst developer or has died.

Problem when using Left or Right button as trigger button Rated 2 out of 5 stars

If I use Right mouse button as trigger button, context menu popup sometimes (not always) when a gesture is complete.
If I use Left mouse button as trigger button, some Flash objects cannot be clicked by left mouse button. e.g. Candy Crush Saga in facebook is not working with left mouse button while Angry Birds Friends in facebook does.

Well, I'm a fanatic when it comes to optimizing software for keyboard (from desktops to database managing even) and I really have to say that when my hand is on a controller I'd rather not switch it to another controller.
*That's* where the point is. I might love my keyboard, but if my had is on mouse I will curse if I have to switch to KB just to zoom, go back/forward in history, etc.

That means a big flaming 5 stars for the absolutely best gesture extension. THANKS!

Serves Me Well Rated 5 out of 5 stars

There are understandable disappointments re: this add-on, but very few legitimate flaws. It deserves no less than four stars in my opinion and here's why:
It has never broken anything for me. Not once has it completely failed to work. Times I thought it had were because of another addon entirely.
95% of its functionality is perfect. I can think of one gesture that doesn't do what it should (last tab, which only malfunctions when using tab groups), but that's it. Not a deal-breaker.
You will notice that on a small percentage of sites, certain frames will not allow this addon to function. You may need to perform gestures from another frame or use a standard method of achieving the result you want for that particular page. This happens infrequently.
It's very customizable. It shows your gesture by drawing a line, which can be widened/narrowed and the color can be changed, or you can have no line at all. (Just an example.)
People, don't rate an addon one star because it doesn't have the one thing you want. You should rate it based on what it is, not what you want it to be. If it claimed to have the thing and then didn't, that would be different. And it's not like there's some universally acknowledged standard for Firefox gesture addons from which you're pulling your criteria.
This is a functional, useful, stable addon that I make use of both at home and at work.

Where are the diagonals ? Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It's cool, but no diagonal gestures. It was damn less possibility.

Please fix memory leak! Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Great add-on, but I had to remove it due to the memory leak — also noticed by another reviewer. Now Firefox is using 2Gb less memory! (Yes, really).

Enhancement Request... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great add-on. Would it be possible to add 'view image' to the list of allowable gestures? I want to set up one of the rocker gestures to do this.

All-in-One Gestures 的重新载入功能,不能做中国人常用的刷新功(弹出新窗口显示该标签页)、重新载入视频的缓存和观看进度不复存在,真心觉得不方便使用,望积极改进

One thing makes this addon absolutely un-usable for me : "Open links in new tabs"; whatever links are touched by this gesture, open in new tabs.

There is no option to change or limit this behaviour to just the currently selected link.
It'd have been bearable if there were separate gestures for opening all links under the gesture and opening just the current link.

Also, why not emulate Opera and let the same gesture represent multiple commands? (eg: same gesture for opening new tab, when not on link, and opening a link in new tab, when over link)

Sorry, but I cannot use this addon anymore.

Good effort, but its just not for me.

Love this Add-On.. Untill ... i found out it blocks javascript right mouse click events. So it breaks functionality on websites who for instance offer a custom right mouse menu. Removed this add-on now, and going to look for another mouse gesture add-on.

Great plugin! But now more and more appears 3D Web-application, which need all the mouse buttons. It would be great if you could disable the plugin directly from the page, or set it up to make websites on which the plugin is not working.

Firefox version 21. Scrolling still not working properly. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a really good add-on which has worked perfectly for me up till now. I have updated to version 0.26 to try to get it to work but I still can't get the middle wheel to scroll properly. On some pages it doesn't work at all, on some it works satisfactorily, on others it works if one clicks on to the extreme right-hand side of the page and to the left of the scroll bar, then it works. Clicking anywhere else on the page and doesn't.I would appreciate you looking into this matter to see if you can solve the problem. Many thanks.

I found that the scrolling problems I was experiencing was due to some conflict with the ''Smooth Scrolling'' add-on. Updating this add-on to the latest version fixed the problem.Scrolling now working as it should.

Still my favourite gesture addon. Firefox version 21 broke some things, but don't despair, because:

You can get it from the author's home page (look for the "Add-on home page" link on the right sidebar of this page)

Not as good as Mouse Gestures Redox Rated 2 out of 5 stars

There is no support for diagonal gestures (way faster and easier) so this is useless. Will stick with Mouse Gestures Redox (not officially supported anymore but still works as of FF v21) until a suitable alternative comes along.

Excellent -- with one small exception Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This add-on works perfectly, with one exception.

With browser.tabs.autoHide set to false, the tab bar is always displayed, even if there is only a single tab open. If the "Close current Tab" action accidentally gets executed in the last remaining tab, then the entire browser window is dismissed. It would be good to add a modified action that would close the current tab -- unless this were the last remaining tab open, in which case the action would be ignored. This would solve the problem of having browser sessions terminated unexpectedly due to losing track of the number of tabs opened.

Other than this small nit, the gestures work reliably. This is a great productivity improvement to the browsing experience.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.25.1).

closing last tab

There are two functions for closing tabs: "Close current Tab" and "Close Document". How these functions work depends on the standard Firefox pref (that can be set with about:config) browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab.

If browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab is true, both "Close current Tab" and "Close Document" close the window when the tab is the last one (the two functions do the same).

If browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab is false, "Close current Tab" closes the window when the tab is the last one while "Close Document" doesn't.

In summary, "Close current Tab" always closes the window, while "Close Document" follows the closeWindowWithLastTab preference.

Thanks for using AiOG.
