@d31b0y

Yes, it's there by design, But it's absolutely stupid. For one, you have to be really stupid to fall for the attack, For another, there's another less intrusive way to fix it: require two actions on different places on the screen.

And what's really annoying is that, for any site other than addons.firefox.org (which is safe), Firefox already does this with you having to allow the site to download content.

So, it's a completely pointless feature that keeps being thrusted upon us because people won't use their brain.

And that's not even covering the ability for other solutions. It's not like any other browser does this.

This seems like a pretty decent addon, that's why I gave it 3 stars. However there are reasons why the delay has been included in firefox extension installs...

Use this at your own risk! The delay is intentionally there. Check http://www.squarefree.com/2004/07/01/race-conditions-in-security-dialogs/

this can be done in any version of firefox in about:config without cluttering up your addons

on the other hand this feature is useful if you dont want to be messing around

about:congif in address bar

security.dialog_enable_delay = 0

i wanna click away on all the add ons, actually, i'd rather just click once and have it install in the background (cause i add https://addons.mozilla.org) to the safe no-prompt list. that is if you made one. your add on rocks over all the other add ons. one add-on to rule them all.

This function is now integrated in: 'MR Tech Toolkit (formerly Local Install) 6.0.1' [https://addons.mozilla.org/en/firefox/addon/421]. --> Wll say, that, after completed installation & restart, MR Tech toolkit will suggest you this tool's deinstallation [the same with e.g. 'Options Menue']

Is this add on going to work in Firefox 3.0beta? I love downloading extensions and I have to wait 5 seconds on each download!

This is a very useful browser extension. It removes the three second delay from extension installs. I really like it because I download a lot of extensions at a time, and it makes things go faster. Of course, since the delay is a bit of a security measure, use it at your discretion. A fantastic and must-have none the less.

Short & sweet and makes me feel a lot better -- I'm not an idiot because I couldn't find where to adjust the timeout period, damnit ! :)

Thanks for this great addition.
