Legacy.... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a great add-on but is marked as legacy. It will not be supported by Firefox 57. I hope to see it updated.

Request update for 55.0.3 up to 57 Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Have enjoyed this extension up until Firefox went to 55.0.3 ... now some pages won't even load, like bill paying & banking pages. Firefox lists this as Legacy and things don't play nice when that happens.

Have supported/donated to this extension but now it's useless. :(

By now, one of the few remaining reasons to still use Firefox Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I consider NoScript to be one of the main reasons that still speak for using Firefox. Over the past few years, Mozilla has increasingly moved away from their ideals of a free, open, customizable web experience. Today, most of its unique selling points are gone, and it's not much different from your regular Chrome or Edge.

However, the power of its extensibility allowed the community to take over. NoScript and its author are probably the best testament to what that can mean. When it comes to browsing speed, privacy and safety, NoScript just puts Firefox into an entirely different class. It might go a few steps down on the comfort scale when you're first getting used to it, but before long, you'll think that it would be crazy to still browse the web without it. Most mainstream and corporate websites these days are littered with dozens, if not hundreds, of uncalled-for, unnecessary, and often badly broken scripts. NoScript protects you from that, all the security issues they bring with them, and makes you remember that browsing the web used to be a fast and snappy experience one time (after we overcame dial-up connections, and before client-side scripting ruined a good thing).

Mozilla is going to remove an estimated 95% of extension functionality from Firefox shortly, without any alternatives in place. Practically all extensions that do anything useful will die on that day. Luckily, NoScript's author is dedicated to try and do the conversion. We can only hope that he manages, and does so in time. Otherwise, the future looks grim for conscious web users, and for Firefox itself.

It's very hypocritical of Mozilla to remove browser customizability in such a radical way in the name of compatibility, security, and freedom of bugs, when the number one source of breaking bugs, crashes, and security issues – website scripts and anti-consumer, corporate schemes/jokes such as EME (DRM) – get such a prominent place in the browser and are even tricky to fully deactivate. NoScript is one of the few remnants of the ideals Mozilla and Firefox once stood for.

Most important addon for Firefox Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This addon is not just powerful and incredibly useful, it is also the biggest differentiator Firefox has. This addon is exclusive to Firefox and one of a few reason why I continue using Firefox. Kudos to the developer!

NoScript breaking google notifications. Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Not sure if everyone else is having this problem just started a few days ago with me. Noscript won't let me see my google notifications when I click on them it just says something went wrong re-load page, when I do that I just get a google search box inside my notifications box.

Please update this addon from legacy.

Great addon a must have for me, however, the latest update seems to continually install (V. 5.0.8.1), could be a bug, hopefully fixed soon!
