My Reviews

FireFTP

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Used to use this a lot. Tip: do not save passwords - too risky. If you get hacked this is a potential vulnerability. Remember those passwords - or write them down on a scrap of paper. Hackers cannot read bits of paper in your pocket.

YSlow

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Speed is not an important website ranking factor, and this add-on makes light work of checking the speed of a webpage and then reporting back.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.1.4).

Session Manager

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I started using Session Manager on Chrome. It is without doubt the most useful plugin / addon created for browsers. Really all browsers should have this build in. I tend to have around 20-30 tabs open at any one time, and without Session Manager I would never shut down my PC!

ColorZilla

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Brilliant way to quickly find the HTML colour of any part of a website or image. I use this to help design pages and themes etc. Could not live without it.

StumbleUpon

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

StumbleUpon would not be the same without the add-on. The add-on practically makes the site.

IE Tab V2 (Enhanced IE Tab)

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Possibly the easiest way to test a website for compatibility with IE without having to use IE.

Flagfox

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

A handy add-on indeed. When reviewing websites it is useful to know where they are hosted. Sometimes a website could appear to be a potential client, but if they are hosted in some far away country it can make you more cautious. Useful.

Firebug

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Firebug is a great way to quickly look into the source code of a website. I am not a highly skilled web designer, but with Firebug I can quickly find where in the html and css I need to edit to make simple changes to a website. In short, it has allowed me to edit Wordpress themes to suit my needs.

SearchStatus

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

A very neat and unobtrusive set of tools to help quickly analyse a website. Have been using it for around 3 years now and glad to report that it still does the job excellently.
