My Reviews

FfChrome

Needs upgrade Rated 3 out of 5 stars

it's and irreplaceable addon but there's two major flaws
1 requiring mouse for expanding
2 conflict: Context Menu History does almost never work from short list. it only displays like 3x3 frame instead.
just little advice: don't add any junk code or features because that's what causes bugs, also mastery is in requiring less not more code.

linkcheck

unfortunately Rated 2 out of 5 stars

anything with less servers than Jdownloader is useless to me. it's a matter of support.

WTF Rated 1 out of 5 stars

and I thought such extension was least likely the culprit of my tabs displaying url instead of title. (-_(\

CoolPreviews

ignores firefox settings Rated 3 out of 5 stars

the CP window does not adapt to custom behavior of shift scroll which makes it totaly useless for horizontal scrolling designs. the CP icon does too seem to not overlay all elements when displayed on the right side. another problem: there's no option to cancell the preview with clicking a blank space on original tab.

Yet Another Smooth Scrolling

does not use native settings Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I modified the shift scroll to only scroll horizontaly and this addon is only used for vertical scrolling, plus I would appreciate to use a slowdown option instead of elastic edge because several designs are not ready for such behavior. Acter playing with the settings and comparing to certain chrome extension this one seems to have an unwanted max speed.

Gamer's Control

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Without proper key customization and dis/enable keys its not worth it. I use Focus keyboard(it's not perfect itself), so this isn't usable for me.
Maybe next version could get some more creative like assigning alpha number keys to tabs and having alternative binding slots(or a archive of actions and shortcuts). Anyway WASD should only scroll, shift should be used for paging(think sprint/dodge) in correcponding direction, kinda what flick gestures do in Grab and Drag with mouse(bonus points if you can make it go diagonally). Shift+Q/E for tab switching(also having a button switching to previously used tab would be kewl), ~ for address bar (lol), G for search(XD) and maybe V+W/S to change zoom of page(default ctrl+[+]/[-]) and b to reset zoom. After youre done with that, I will gladly sacrifice Focus Keyboard.

Grab and Drag

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'ts a FF3 plugin, so dont complain if FF4 mnanaged to default it. best way to use: enable flick, left mouse, nontext/link and 1 click, use default cursor instead of open hand. time and decel to minimum. Gesture time limit to 1/2 on the default scroll speed. Set drag multiplier to 8 If you don't like to use lot of momentum scroll for long pages. Toggle hotkeys don't work, but I have a ton of addons. One thing I don't get is why I can't keep scrolling If I hit the screen border(Havent checked if FF4 does it). Mouse isnt a stylus/touchscreen, please think about it(maybe call it limitless scroll).

TabsRight

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Does what it says, however I always have a problem with FF using alt+enter instead of ctrl+enter and theres no addon to solve it.
If you want some enhanced fucntionality, use Tab Mix Plus for tab opening, closing and ctrl+tab to switch to previously used tab.
Tree Style Tab can visually organise the tabs by origin.

CyberSearch

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This one only googles everything, the instafox isn't customisable and fastestfox is just a selected text popup searcher. Can't use anything that doesnt work the way I want.

Focus Keyboard

Needs a tweak Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Almost What I wanted, theres something thing to add: a way to show the actual adress withour reloading. Adding ctrl to do the same as alt+enter would be good too.

Tab Mix Plus

needs features for selected tabs Rated 5 out of 5 stars

the features of Multiple Tab Handler would be ideal.preferably accessed from RMB menu item "selected tabs >"
review: one of essential addons for every firefox personalisation.

BarTab

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It needs the option to load only the default selected tab when I start FF. Now I have to press the unload others manually every time i open it.

Rights To Close

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

left clicks have to stay in case of selection, but middle double-click would be useful.

Lazarus: Form Recovery

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

doesn't work on facebook

Pimpoflage - Auto Hide Options for Status Bar and Navigation Bar

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

how about having auto show option for when I start a new speeddial with CRL+T ? I mean like posting unhypertexted links(because Jdownloader is not always the only option)

Enhanced Middle Click

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I iwsh additional buttons were made standard aready, because now all think of 3 button mice and that results in this conflicting with all in one gestures, but I still prefer this.

Context History

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

good suff, but tab history menu is more useful if you are lookin only on current tab's history.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4.2).

Status Bar: Compact & Dynamic

doesn't work Rated 3 out of 5 stars

it disappears after half second and doesn't show up on heavily modified 3.6.3, win XP SP3 32bit
