All in all it is OK, howewer in my system (Linux) changing the "show desktop notification for (seconds)" has no effect.
Notifications appear for 2 or 3 seconds and thats it.
This impeaches me of using this add-on.
Very good, saved my day. 5 stars.
Neverttheless I am looking for a some other browser, since I am sure Mozilla will repeat the nonsense, as Gmail did.
Isn't there a possibility of seeing a pop-up with the subjects ? Am I missing something ?This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.3.4).
Doesn't work with FF21.
Alternative: FireGestures 1.7.2
Very good! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (188.8.131.52).
Really nice. Using it all the time.
But I get a "Integrated Gmail" header on the top right main Gmail page that I have no use for.
Can I get it out ?
I don't know if it is only with Gmail, but when Bookmark Favicon Changer is enabled it slows down my login at Gmail. It takes about 15 seconds,
with it disabled it takes 1 or 2 seconds.
I had noticed my logins at Gmail where slow, so I disabled all extensions (I have about 10) and reenabled one by one.
To my surprise the culprit was Bookmark Favicon Changer.
I couldn't believe it, since I didn't see any relationship so I repeated this enable/disable several times, even restarting my computer.
It's a pity, because I find this extension wonderful.
I use Linux and FF 5.0
Don't install this add-on. It has many bugs. Try https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/bookmark-favicon-changer/ , works foe me.
I do love this extension, and made a donation a year ago. But files are getting bigger and bigger and I started hitting the
4 GB file limit which seems to be a FF limitation.
I am running Arch Linux 32 bits with FF4. Would Linux x64 with FF 64 bits version solve this problem ?
I was configuring Chromium, preparing to ditch FF, when I found this extension.
So for the moment I will remain with FF, even though I suspect that when people lose contact with reality its a matter
of time until they fumble everything.
Good. I never liked to be redirected to whatever page depending on the country I happen to be.
And now that I am filtering out the damned new Google sidebar it helps to
match always the same URL.
If you trust these guys yo store your bookmarks and passwords, be my guest.
Off to syncplaces.
The BETA version for FF 3.6 is here:
Works for me.
