Session Sync worked for me Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I was looking for a solution to transfer nearly 100 FF tabs to a new computer.
Session Sync worked well, though I began to think it was not synchronising at all. But it was just taking a little time, probably a function of my not brilliant internet connection and, more likely, the fact there were so many tabs.
At least one alternative requires a step of saving to the web (perhaps sync'ing was not available on its release, but advantage still is that you can retain the session at an external place) but for me this was unnecessary and I like Session Sync's simple, direct sync.
Note: It does not sync windows and unpins pinned tabs, but for that was no hardship as my second window had very few tabs and was not important.
Fifth star when pins stay pinned or windows are sync'ed. Six stars if both are fixed... :-)
Thank you, Gabriel!
FoxClocks with add-on works as expected! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I just installed the add-on proposed by Andy, the developer.
It worked. Before that I was struggling to see the clocks, as the logo seemed to appear in and disappear from the Menu bar.
And even if it was there one had to click on it.
The new add-on bar may on occasion obscure the bottom of the page, but that is a very small price to pay.
I hope the FF developers see the problem they have caused by removing the add-on bar, and think about restoring it. One could always remove it if it was in the way.
Missing Add-on bar in FF29 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Argonv, the issue is restoring the suddenly discontinued add-on bar (blame FF!) that allowed us to line up a series of small clocks, for example along the bottom of the screen. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (184.108.40.206-signed). This user has other reviews of this add-on.
Lost add-on bar - alternative? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Dear Andy, late March you replied to a review that you are looking for alternatives to the 'gone' add-on bar.
Today I got the FF 'upgrade'...
Other than restoring the old UI what do you suggest at this stage?
(The star rating relates to the app as it was, incl permanent display of clocks.)
Brill Add-On Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Easy to use. Vast choice of cities and countries. Nice choice of where to place the various (small but clear) clocks in the browser window, with good choice of display format. Been using it for quite a while.
Has now arrived on Chrome. Nothing else like it. Has developer who responds to users.
