I've tried several proxy add-ons and found a couple that have let me view the video I was trying to view. I couldn't find a single proxy on this add-on that would. For every proxy I tried, I also checked with www.stayinvisible.com to see if my actual IP address was being reported and it was being reported in the environment variables. These proxies provided no privacy. Even the screenshots on the webpage don't match the product.
While the add-on allowed me to view the video that was blocked from my location (the U.S.), it does not hide your true IP address. It submits the IP address in the environment variables along with browser plugins, fonts, and other information according to www.stayinvisible.com and www.proxyway.com.
This is my first foray into proxies. Though the add-on worked for the site I was having trouble with (country block), I could not turn the add-on off. It has an option to make it inactive, but that didn't stop it from creating a profile for each site I visited even when deactivated. It would delete the profile if I didn't make any changes to the add-on's settings, but when I turn it off, I want it to be off. There is no option to do that other than disabling it in Firefox Add-ons. So I removed it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.2). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
This was my first foray into the world of proxies. There was one site I was having a problem with and this add-on worked for it, however, I couldn't turn it off. You can deactivate it, but it isn't off. Every site I visited had a 'profile' created so that it could save any settings I might change. When I turn it off, I want it off, and there was no option to do so other than going into Firefox Add-ons and disabling it, so I removed it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.2).
This add-on does not find jobs. It links to a parked page full of advertising.
If I wanted to add Liveshare to my browser toolbar, I would have. You've made it mandatory to have this icon in my browser next to my browser control buttons and I can't move it or delete it. That's crapware. I control my browser so I'm removing this add-on. Instead of destroying the tools that do work, why don't you fix Cooliris? That's the tool that isn't working. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.6).
This add-on does not work in version 13. I've installed it and used it and my add-ons still do not work. If I edit the install file for each add-on, then the add-ons will work again. This shows me that compatibility checking is still happening even though I've disabled it with this add-on. The only thing this add-on does is to prevent Firefox from disabling the add-ons after a restart. Compatibility checking still prevents those add-ons from running.
