My Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This feels lighter/faster & more stable compared to when I was using Greasemonkey on my add-on heavy FF. Thank you!

Thank you so much!!

Tab Preview

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

minimalistic & works just fine. Thanks :)

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Please update it :( It's a very useful add-on. I especially like the keyboard shortcut fuction to quickly rename a tab.

Also, I have a suggestion. Is it possible to highlight certain tabs? I sometimes open a sea of tabs & hence used this add-on to locate tabs. However, I would be nice to also be able to highlight certain tabs too.

Works perfectly with 6.0.2. Thank you so much :))

Informational Tab

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Loving this add-on. I use it with Tree Style Tab.I would like to make a small suggestion. Would it be possible to add a little button for the Add-on Bar so we can switch the tab preview on & off quickly & simply? Thanks :)

Dog Ears

I love this add-on. It is simple & it does exactly what I need. Hopefully this will get updated here for firefox 4.

Tab Kit

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Wow, unbelievable how many people 'suddenly' register just to complaint about the search bar. Surely even if you did not like the search bar, it is worth way more than 1 star. Jomel wrote this as a free add-on, not asking for anything back. He doesn't work for you. The least you can do it to NOT behave like a spoilt brat. If you have a suggestion you really need to voice out, how about using the website given here? It's not like you have zero channel to do so. To everyone else, I highly suggest looking at 'these people' profiles before deciding if their reviews are really worth their weight in volume.

Edited to add: Eqrepro, my comment obviously is not about taking sides for or against the search bar :)

Tab Kit

Thank you for this! I have been trying it out for a while.. before this I was using Tree Style Tab. I think this is quicker & it behavior seems more natural to me. I use it with Multiple Tab Handler, & it seems to work pretty good together :)

I was also using Informational Tab with Tree Style Tab, but since it wasn't displaying properly with Tab Kit, I have substituted it with Tab Popup.

Thanks for the great work & adding the tab search bar (it a brilliant idea) ^-^

Tree Style Tab

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great add-on! I use it with Multiple Tab Handler, Informational Tab & Tab Catalog on FF3.6.3 in Vista currently. They all work pretty well together!

I have to use earlier version of this add-on (ver. 0.10.2010040201), because, for some reason, the bug fix in ver. 0.10.2010043001 of this add-on for use with Session Manager actually broke it for me. (I mean the Session Manager did not load saved sessions correctly in later versions of this add on for me. Guess I am the opposite of everyone else?)

But using earlier version (ver. 0.10.2010040201) works well for me too. So not much of a problem for now.
Thanks for this add-on & the tip included in this site about how to disable it from building trees automatically. That was exactly what I was looking for! ^_^

Perapera Japanese Popup Dictionary

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The latest version (v2.1) rocks! The toolbar buttons now works & the fonts are nice & pretty again. It's easy to activate & deactivate now too!

Now all we need is to have more customizations for the Popup Color. To me, only the black is easy to read at the moment, especially the pronunciation beside the word. (ie the pinyin or kana/ romanji). The color contrast is still a little too light for me.

I am also anticipating the Korean dictionary. Once it's add you are ready for world domination! Buahahah.. ! (^▽^)。♪。。♪。 Great work!

LongURL Mobile Expander

Jerky youtube videos Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I have the same problem as jarodirc. It seems to make youtube videos quite jerky. I then tried out the greasemonkey version, but its still the same.

Auto Context

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I love this & use it every single day!
I have tried many other similar add-ons like Hyperwords & SearchWith, etc, & this has got to be my favorite of the lot! Love having the choice to customize it, or just use search engine straight from the browser. This makes surfing so much easier. Thanks!

Ah.. I thought this was the cause for youtube videos being jerky.. it turns out it might actually be another add-on (LongURL Mobile Expander). Sincere apologies to the author & I would like to add that this is a great, simple add-on. Great idea, & I have been using it quite regularly. Thanks for updating it too :)

Multiple Tab Handler

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I see a lot of people comparing this to Tab Mix Plus, but they are 2 different add-ons and do totally different things.

This add-on is just as the name says, it allows you to handle multiple tabs. Like holding the Shift key & clicking on multiple tabs to move them together. (You need to release the Shift key before dragging them, unlike with moving multiple item on the desktop.)

You can also use the Ctrl key to select multiple tabs and moving them, like with items on a desktop.. you get the idea.

Tab Mix Plus does NOT allow me to select multiple tabs to move them together. I actually uninstalled TMP because it isn't what I needed.

At times, I can have over 100 tabs open at one time & I uses this add-on to arrange them together or close multiple selected tabs. I didn't get it at first too, because it took me a while to understand it. But all in all, it's a good add-on and I haven't seen any other ones that does the same things. (There probably are, I might have just missed them?)

Also there are complains about how it doesn't have Session Manager, unlike TMP. Well, I just install it separately so it really doesn't make any difference to me.

So thank you for this add-on! :)

新同文堂 (New Tong Wen Tang)

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very useful! I was using Gb2Big, but switched over a long time ago based on recommendations. This has much more functions like auto convert, & convert clipboard text.

The only thing with auto convert however, is that it doesn't differentiate Chinese characters from Japanese Kanji. So it's something I have to be conscious of when viewing Japanese web pages.
But this has many shortcut icons to remove the filter/conversion, etc. So this still gets a thumbs up from me! Please do keep it up ^.^ (currently doesn't work with FF3.6 beta 5 in case anyone is thinking of making the jump).

Thank you!!!

Mandarin Popup

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is something I really need and use quite regularly, because there are many Mandarin Chinese words I do not recognize, and this helps me read mandarin.

I speak & understand spoken mandarin, so all I need is to get the pronunciation (pinyin) of the word. The simple pop-up interface on the page is great. (I think it will be even better if there is a way to keep it always on top, because if I remember correctly, it will sometimes get blocked by flash videos like for example the youtube videos.)

Thank you SO much for this and please keep updating it (it's currently not compatible with FF3.6 beta 5 in case anyone is thinking of making the jump)

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

mmm.. so many bad comments in a roll? actually I find it really useful. I tried the other 2 add-on mentioned. Advance Url builder only recognize search url ending with "q=". But some sites uses "q/" instead, which it fails to work with. As with Context Search, I quite like it, except for the fact that it does not allow me to search with address bar. Sometimes a url is typed out in plain text and can't be clicked on. So what I do with SearchWith is I just highlight the whole url address and then select search with Address Bar to bring me to that site. This is more useful than people realize. well, at least that was the case for me. I agree the interface isn't user friendly and takes a while to get used to. It probably could do with some improvement. But after configuring all the search engines, I barely have to touch that interface anymore.. lol..
so, thanks for this add-on and continue to update yo! :)

FoxyProxy Standard

Works! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

it's useful!! I need this! thank you!

I have been using this for quite sometime now to bypass any site restriction (of course you will need to find a good proxy list to use with it).
It is better than using a proxy site sometimes, because a lot of the proxy sites can't handle embedded items (like certain embedded videos), but I do not have such problem when using FoxyProxy.

ImageShack Toolbar

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It's very useful! Thank you!

However, is it possible to have some personalize settings like selecting whether or not a new tab pops up, and whether it switches to that tab whenever pictures are uploaded. That is a little annoying.

And also the toolbar takes up quite a bit of space.

otherwise.. it is close to perfect! i love how it allows for drag and drop, even pictures from the PC! love that feature! and I can also go to My Images with a click of the button. :)
