No longer functional Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I've been using and loving this addon for years. It's been a great and fun way to communicate with my friends. However, after a recent update, the Addon no longer works. I try to send pages, friends don't receive them. They try to send to me, I don't receive. A real bummer as it's been so awesome up until this point. :(

I've emailed support at SU about the issue, they have yet to get back to me. Hopefully the addon gets fixed and I can change this review to 5/5!

Functionality broken by update Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The Addon is now completely useless as a way to share websites with friends. Waiting shares are no longer even displayed in the addon. It's not worth the frustration after using it for 11 years. Once I finally found the list of shares, there are now SPAM shares in there :( Unacceptable!!

Excellent tool and a question Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I am using this addon froma week and Ihave found simple, efficient and usefull too. I have only a small problem ( or question): by clicking on the icons "browse people by interest" or "inbox" on the stumbleupon bar the reply is the error "Sorry, but we seem to have misplaced this page.". Anyone has had this problem?

Bugfix? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I love Stumble Upon and I use it all the time. There's only thing that's been bothering me for a while now: I want to position the SU-elements next to the address bar (on the right). But everytime I do that, after one or two reboots of FF the SU-elements are back in their own "toolbar", costing me screen-space. I would be really happy about a fix for this problem, so I don't need to readjust the position every few days.

A shadow of itself Rated 1 out of 5 stars

StumbleUpon has gone downhill. The developers only classify pornography as adult, but not gory and violent content (typical U.S. morals). The comment pages load slow or not at all and some buttons (like "done" after flagging a stumbler) don't work.

Okay until you try to uninstall it Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I never had a similar issue with another extension. It always manage to reinstall itself without any action on my part.

Inundated with SPAM Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I've been using SU for years and now suddenly I'm getting spam for IBM, Las Vegas, Miller Lite, and Monsonto incessantly almost every 10 or so stumbles. I get SU needs to make some money but this is ridiculous. Most of them are sorted in the Humor section. I can't believe SU will stoop this low.

StumbleUpon 4.16 Addon prevents Firefox process from Shutting down Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I enjoyed using StumbleUpon as a diversion for a number of years however Version 4.16 now now prevents the Firefox 29.0.1 process from shutting down normally on my Windows 7 Pro system when I close a Firefox window by clicking on the X in the upper right hand corner of the window. If I tried to subsequently relaunch Firefox it resulted in a popup which stated "Firefox is already running but is not responding". Problem required shutting down process via Task Manager manually before Firefox could be relaunched successfully. Many Firefox users have posted complaints about this symptom to which a Mozilla recommendation was to check your Addons. When I disable StumbleUpon 4.16 the problem no longer occurs.

This toolbar has the ability to move to several locations, it never stays where you put it however. Every time I open my browser it has moved back to the original default location. I love being able to discover new sites but to me functionality is so important. If it is an aggravation to use then I'm not going to use it. That's is what this add on falls into, an aggravation. It is highly overrated here because of this.

StumbleUpon Rated 2 out of 5 stars

StumbleUpon takes over the hotkey Ctrl+Shift+N which is incognito mode for firefox. There is no option to change this, which is awful.

The websites aren't terribly random (if you look at other stumblers likes you'll see that the vast majority of websites are seen by everyone, so its more like an app that automatically sends you to trending websites)
