Still works in FF 3 -NOT Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It still works in 3. Go into options and set it to go to url. Restart, then new tab should default to Mozilla. You can put it back to homepage and it will work.

Update. I was wrong. After restart it no longer works. I also cannot find this muf file.

working great now! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I had been using the New Tab Homepage add-on, and when I installed this, it wouldn't work. After disabling the other one, it works great! It has more options, and the clipboard url function is a real time-saver! Thanks!

Does not work after restart Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Agree with previous comments. Really useful add-on but stops working after restart. Can be fixed by reinstalling but the rather defeats the object! I'm on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 . Any chance of a fix soon? Thanks.

Not Working - FF3 RC2 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I recently upgraded to FF3 RC2 and have noticed that NewTabURL no longer works. Coincidence? Maybe, but it doesn't work for me now. Pity, because this is a great extension that frankly I thought would have been a standard feature in the FF3. Why would you want a new tab that is blank by default?

Does not work after restart Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Does it work for you at all? For me, it works only until I restart firefox. After restart (be it File->Quit or a window close from the window manager), new tabs are blank again. Fedora 9, firefox-3.0-0.60.beta5.fc9.x86_64. There is no support e-mail displayed, so I am posting here.

Fabulous Extension Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I had been looking for a way to set Google as my permanent "new tab". This extension does that and more. Now with one click, I have a fresh new Google page to work with.

Indispensable extension!

1.5.4/Firefox 3.0 fixed problem Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works now with FireFox 3.0b2 on my Vista machine. However, it needs to be reinstalled fairly frequantly to keep it working.

Does what it says on the tin.... Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Brilliant! Nice and simple and WORKS.....

Thanks a lot - just what I've been after - without all the other clutter that other 'Tab' add-ons provide.

Just the ticket! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Absolutely what I've been looking for - top marks! Works perfectly in 2.0.0.11. Look forward to seeing other Add-Ins.

Great extension! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

NewTabURL is a great extension.

With the version 1.5.1 you have added
when the page in the new tab is loaded
the current url in the url bar is selected.
Can that function be optional?

1.5.1 Doesn't Work! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

1.4.3 Works perfectly though! And I rate it 10 because it does precisely what it says it does and is very useful. You can find version 1.4.3 here: http://mirrors.xmission.com/mozilla.org/extensions/newtaburl/

This extension was recently updated to 1.5.1 and that when the problem started, the update only adds new localizations, so the functionality of using 1.4.3 is unaffected.

It is a great extension, too bad about the version problem, I'm sure it will be corrected soon.

Hi Atavachron, it works ok on my computer. Please, can you contact me by email at sogame@gmail.com? Thanks

1.5.1 Don't like new behaviour Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I reverted back to the previous version because I found the new behaviour of always setting focus to the address bar to be really annoying - especially since I use a lot of pages with forms. I suggest making that an option the user can turn on/off.

Don't like new behaviour

Sriram N, thanks for your suggestion. I'll add this option in the next release :-D
And next time, you can contact me by email ;-)

Stopped Working Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It was great until this week when it stopped working. Tried both versions and installed./reinstalled many times. I think there is a clash. Favourite is Realplayer as it is the last thing I installed. Any other ideas?

Nearly always works Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great to have my homepage come up in a new tab. However it does not always come up - sometimes just a blank page. My home page is a HTML file on the c: drive.

Excellent!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is exactly what I needed! There was an about:config option for this (browser.tabs.loadOnNewTab), but for some reason they disabled it in firefox 2.x (see here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=269664). But this add-on fixes that problem perfectly, and adds the nice little extra of opening a URL from the clipboard if there is one present! Thanks!
