Я не понял ((( Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Please, could you update it for newer versions of FF?

My machine went mad- so MANY pop ups Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Hi,
since in the last few days my FF is getting very very slow, i've installed the leak Monitor.
Just after words i got so many pop ups, like an annoying VB code that pops up a 100 windows. After some time i could gain access to my FF and removed that extension. Besides, what can I do with those messages? since i ain't a developer.

Good idea, bad implementation Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Unusable due to huge number of pop-ups. You get a pop-up for every window or tab, although it disappears if no errors are found.

Good idea though. Would use it if there was only one pop-up or if I could redirect errors to a file. Currently installed but disabled, so I can try it out again if an update becomes available.

Seems to be accurate and quick responding, but the repeating pop-ups are annoying and unnecessary. A single log/results window has always been sufficient in every other debugging tool I've used.

Please add a way to stop the pop ups. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Hi,

Excellent addon but we need a way to stop all the pop ups that come up as we go along.
Is there a work around for this?

Thanks,
Narsi.

During active development, this add-on could prove invaluable to a developer. But, for a user seeking to identify which-if-any piece of installed software is causing problems, this plug-in would better confine itself to a single logging window, and never never never seize focus. Instead of grabbing focus, it could have an audible alarm and a flashing iconette. And it would still serve those aforementioned active developers were its interface thus changed.

So, four stars for now, but with a recommendation that the vast majority of users avoid it.

I'm astounded at how many leaks this detects but it is unbearable to use. It pops up multiple windows and steals focus when I'm trying to type or navigate on a page. This happens on almost every new page. No options either. We need the option to simply log the leak messages to a file for later viewing. Then this would be a 5 star addon.

I like this add-on and all its intentions.

But it's so unusable because it displays all information in many popup windows.

My proposed solution is to display everything in one separate window, and each leak report is in a tab.

Also, do not make this window steal focus when a new leak report is created. It's so disruptive especially during testing.

Other than that, this extension is a must-have! It helps the Firefox ecosystem make better use of computer resources.

Not available for FreeBSD_amd64-gcc3? Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I'd love to run this, but it's apparently platform-specific. I run "FreeBSD_amd64-gcc3", which it tells me is unsupported.

Big :-(

I obviously can't give this a rating until it runs on my platform, but the review form requires a rating. So I'll give it 2 stars for now, and update my review once it's possible to do so.

Good, but needs some tweaks Rated 4 out of 5 stars

it's really good . I love it. It helps me alot, but there's a downside. Can you please modify the addons, becouse it's really annoing when you browse. If there was a quick option to enable or disable it in the add-on prefs, becouse disabling the addon and restarting firefox isn't very practical :/

Good, but annoying Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Altogether, this is really useful while developing extensions, as it helps spotting memory leaks.

But the many windows it opens, and mostly the lack of any usable information (I know sometimes the source cannot be tracked) is simply annoying (especially while browsing).

So it should have another sort of notification method and/or a way to filter from what source I want to get notifications (XUL/(chrome-)URLs) (blacklist/whitelist).

Despite all this I suggest this to anyone who is developing extension(s) or happy with closing many many windows repeatadly. So keep up the good work, and thanks!

It'd be better if it didn't open a billion windows Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Okay, so the most it opened was 78. I didn't realize that I wouldn't be "allowed" to have multiple tabs open if I used the extension (which, btw, makes it impossible to tell where the leak came from, especially when you don't know the code, since this doesn't give the names of sites or any log of what triggered all of these). The reclaiming of memory seems to work well, but unfortunately this is not the extension for me.

I hate to complain... Rated 2 out of 5 stars

when someone offers something for free, and I'm apparently to dense to appreciate it.

Firefox has been crashing on me whenever I'm entering posts on Facebook, sites like here, doing reviews, news sites, etc. I was hoping this tool would help me, but I guess it's a little too sophisticated for me.

I started getting pop-up alerts almost immediately, and frankly, they don't tell me anything really useful. Yeah... there are web sites listed, but some are ad sites, so I closed any tabs open that I know have ads on them. Most are from THIS site!

I would appreciate feedback if anyone's experienced the same things as me, or see what I'm missing. I LOVE Firefox, but this constant crashing is driving me to the browser that shall remain un-named.

But thank you for the tool. I just don't think it's helping me. If the light comes on, I'll definitely come back and update this review!

Bad max version if I download the XPI file Rated 4 out of 5 stars

All is in the title, If I try to download the leak_monitor-0.4.2-fx.xpi file then I can't install it later because the max version in the install.rdf file is equal to the min version : 3.0b4pre (like 0.4.1 version)
I can't install it from the XPI with Firefox 3.0.3. If I install directly from AMO, it works.
If it is a cache problem, I don't know how to bypass it.
Can you investigate ?

Firefox2 version was better, IMHO Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I get so many Alerts (than Firefox2) and most of the time there is no report in these Alerts. So... I have no choice but to disable this, from time to time :'(

And yet, I believe that this Extension Add-on should get much more reviews and reputation.

But (PLEASE) make this better!

I see no content, most of the time, so it is useless for me.

IOW (in other words), I can't figure out which Add-on(s) cause to these alerts (leaks).
