Lazarus, I used to like you, but now I hate you. I just wrote such a long comment on YouTube that I spent a lot of time ruminating over, and then my browser crashed. No worries, I thought, and went to retrieve the comment. Then I find out that Lazarus DOESN'T FRIKKIN' WORK inside the YouTube comment field. *rages quietly* Do you think you could maybe fix that?!

How I Show Lazarus 2.3 icon on Firefox top addon bar Rated 5 out of 5 stars

What worked for me was:
1. Show the bottom addon bar e.g. using Classic Theme Restorer addon
2. See installed Lazarus icon there (hopefully)
3. Select "Customize"
4. Drag the Lazarus icon to an appropriate place at the top.
5. Close "Customize". Done.

Lazarus has been replaced via an FF build ??? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I am using FF version 29.0.1 and just today realized that Lazarus was not available after my website admin auto logged me after taking too long to write some code for a page I was creating. When I hit the save button the browser page refreshed and redirected to the login page of my admin... I was devastated to find that the Lazarus button was missing from my FF toolbar... after searching the add-ons section to again find it missing I opted to instead back my browser up 3-4 pages and found that the code was saved (or at least available) simply by returning to the previous page (again, 3-4 pages back). So, now I am wondering if there is a reason the development stopped on Lazarus just knowing that this was becoming part of a future (now) build for FF and other browsers ??? Anyone know definitively if this is true or not?

I just tried it, and Lazarus 3 isn't working in 29, so until now we have to stick to this version. The lack of an icon is not a big loss.

clunky - auto name takes URL so hard to see Rated 1 out of 5 stars

very clunky - removing it. all saves of the form are to the same name as uses URL rather than time or first 10 characters of a field --- , so if you are saving the same form, you cannot tell the differences as it cuts off after so many characters, so they are all named the same.

1 star as does not respond to support email. why have it?

Great plug-in - great to know it's there, easy to use, always grateful to have it when for one reason or another an internet comment or other form entries have disappeared into the virtual ether.
Contrary to some comments below, I find Lazarus form recover still easily accessible, after update to Firefox 29, via a right-click menu whenever I'm hovering over a form. Might be better if alternative modes of access were developed or restored - though I don't recall ever using them in the past.

Lazarus was............ Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Was a 5 star then after FF upgrade to 29 its stopped and reported by others as stopped/no icon available. Unfortunately it looks like developer has stopped working on this what was a great addon.

Both useful and useless Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Lazarus is an useful add-on for writing web forms such as this review form I am writing right now, so on any failure the user can get his form data back.
However, since Firefox updated itself to version 29, Lazarus is completely useless. That is because the only way to access Lazarus was through an icon in the add-ons bar, and now this bar does no longer exist.
The same problem happens with some other add-ons, but then you get help if you click on the menu item "Customize" or press F10 to get the menu bar.
-Customize provides you with some of the missing add-on icons, so you can add them either to the address bar or to the bookmarks bar - but then, the Lazarus icon is not available.
-The menu bar helps you. But not through the "View - Toolbars" menu, which has the add-ons bar missing so user cannot even opt in to have it, but rather because at the tools menu there usually is some alternative access to the add-ons - but then, there's no menu item to access Lazarus.

Downloaded the Newest Version of Mozilla Today; Why Isn't Lazarus Working? Part II Rated 3 out of 5 stars

If Lazarus is still working for you, JonB, then perhaps it has something to do with you running Windows 7 64 bit as opposed to what I'm doing, namely, running Windows 8.1 64 bit . To be clear, Lazarus was still working for me while running Windows 8.1 64 with the previous version (28.0) of Firefox.

I have since installed and am using Form History Control.

Still works in 29.0 for me! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Not sure why it isn't working for some people, but I've got Firefox version 29.0 (on Windows 7 64bit) and Lazarus is still working great.

Unfortunately it seem that this fantastic plugin is DoA. It hasn't been updated for more than 2 years. I suggest someone else get the source code (link below) and start hacking up a new plugin. We can't live without this. FF crashes bloody all the time, even randomly under 20 tabs. Not sure wtf FF devs are doing, when the browser gets larger, slower and less stable for every update.

Lazarus Icon and Functionality has disappeared in Firefox 29! :-( Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This add-on has functioned well, for a long time, in my various updates to Firefox. Today the icon, usually available in my Status Bar add-on, has disappeared in the update to Firefox 29, and neither is it available when I try to customise any of the toolbars! However, Lazarus does show up in the Tool>Add-ons menu but from there it is not possible to access the functionality of this great little item.

Something has definitely happened with the update to Firefox 29 - could I appeal for the developer to look at this? Thank you.

No longer works Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I've relied on this heavily for years. But in the last few months it fails to record any of my forum or social network posts on any site. Very frustrating. I hate composing a post, find out that the forum or social app failed to update what I wrote, then come to find out that Lazarus also failed. It did record this review, just not in any forums. Looking for a similar app. I'm on Windows 8.1 x64, using Firefox 27.0.1

I wrote a long text in a website's textarea and after that, the browser has crashed. I re-opened my browser and right-clicked on the textarea. But my last text has not shown in right-click -> 'Recover Text' list (by the way, I'm using Firefox browser). In Lazarus' options menu > Database tab, I clicked 'Search Lazarus' button and searched my text and I found it over there. But in that search list, it does not contain entire text like this: '...'. So, how can I copy my full-length text? I urgently need it. Awaiting for response. Thanks in advance (and sorry about my freaky English).

I love this add-on.

Saved my ass more times than I can recall Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just the smartest, handiest, most clever idea-saver I've run into. Congrats Developer(s). Curious, no updates since early 2013?

thanks for your addon, it saved me several times.

Can I ask for an improvement ?
Can you add an option to not saves big web-forms (more than 100 inputs for example) ? I works with very big forms (more than 1000 inputs) and this addon freezes Firefox in that case.

Not working Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Works great with Chrome but totally unreliable with Firefox. Haven't been able to recover lost text at all. Horrible.
