Add inline translation Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Nice add-on. But when are you gonna add the inline translation like in Imtranslator for Chrome? It will be a good addition. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (8.18). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
We are planning to implement inline translation into ImTranslator add-on for Firefox.
See how it will work: http://about.imtranslator.net/translators/inline-translator/

Gostei bastante! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
O layout deixa a desejar mas o programa é muito funcional e mais rápido nas traduções que os seus concorrentes. Recomendo. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (8.10.1-signed).
The best translator add-on / Il miglior traduttore per Firefox Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I like very much this add on, it gives everything I need exactly as I want (translation directely in the page of parts of text or the entire page, back to original page (invert translation), dictionary, etc etc.). Simply the best translator. I really suggest it.
Consiglio questo traduttore, il migliore fra i tanti provati. In pratica non ha pecche, e funziona esattamente come si vorrebbe (traduce nella pagina senza linkare a Google, traduce parti o la pagina intera, dizionario, ecc. ecc.)

A great, useful add-on, with some annoying interface errors Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I really love this add-on, but simply can't give it five stars. This is due to just a few problems, mostly with the interface.
First the good news, this is a relatively easy to use translation tool that gives you a ton of different ways to get your translation, including FOUR different translation services: PROMPT, Babylon, Google Translate, and Microsoft. Having more than one service is great, because it allows you to compare the translations and pick the best one.
There are also numerous ways to access it, including simply using the context menu or installing a toolbar button.
The bad news is that the interface has some really annoying problems!
To begin with, there is the selection of source and target languages. You can set up the program to use the same source language and same target language for all translations. Or you can use the auto-detect source language setting, a much easier way to go.
The problem is with the target language and the target language setting!
My Target Language setting is English. I can choose a different target language for one particular translation, and my Target Language setting is still English. HOWEVER, all future translations will use the NEW target language, ignoring the Target Language setting!
So, choosing a different target even once causes the program to ignore your settings from then on and use the new target, until you manually change the target language back to what is set in the Options.
There are also problems with the main interface window itself.
I have a 24", 1080p monitor. When I first used the program, the translation window text was WAY too small to read comfortably. So I increased the font size. Now, however, every time the window opens, the interface doesn't fit. The entire right end is cut off. It's ridiculous that I have to resize it by hand every time, something that should be automatic.
Furthermore, if I don't resize it, then the window starts to disappear altogether, getting progressively SMALLER each time! Choosing a section of foreign text, I ran a translation on it. The window that opened was 646 x 646 pixels. I closed it and ran the translation again. The window was 454 x 461 pixels. Then 382 x 392 pixels, then 322 x 334, etc., etc.
The interface issues are more annoyances than anything else, but for a program this mature, they simply shouldn't exist!
As a result, I have to take away a star from this incredibly useful add-on!
Target language settings
We have developed the default settings the way that they will be re-established every time you close and reopen the browser.
When a user chooses a different target language we had an assumption that he/she will work with this language for the entire translation session (until they close the browser).
As to the font size, there is a TEXT SIZE icon in ImTranslator and Pop-up Bubble applications. You can increase the font using this icon.

imTranslator add-on for Firefox Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This add-on enables me to work with many people in other countries, who speak other languages than my own English. The greatest part of this add-on for me is the back-translation feature. I can see instantly if the translation service I've chosen (Google, Microsoft, Babylon, PROMT) has gotten it right or not. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (22.214.171.124-signed).

Fails to work every single time for some reason Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Concept is great, but if i click IMtranslator by right clicking it never shows any translation. If I pick the next one down (IMTranslator: Google translate) it shows the original text but never shows the translation.
This is the first translation addon I've had that has failed to work. I love the features it offers and I've no idea how to troubleshoot it as other people seems to be getting results..

This translator is my best Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Excellent translator. It allows for back translation which helps with masculine and feminine mistakes in the Russian language. I have used MANY online translation programs and this one by far has been the most accurate and the most reliable. Never have I experienced an error page or notice of too many users. Thanks to the developers! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (7.7.1-signed).
Strongly recommended! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This add-on helped me a lot and saved me extra time and money.
I've used this translator for conversing with other language speaking people online. It does a pretty fair job. I also use it for naming my critters in another language. Web pages translate easily for what I need. Easy to use.
The variety of language combination and the speed of translation are unbeatable. It will not hurt you to try it. Then most likely you will never leave it. Strongly recommended!
ImTranslator is the best! Thanks a lot! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
If I want to say about this add on i will just say it always helps me a lot in chatting with friends world wide. As I am a young teenager. I will always like to chat a lot with friends world wide. sometimes there were some people who don't know English and feels comfortable speaking in their own language. In those situations. I use this add on to translate their language to English and I understand what they speak and again I change my language to their language and I convey my message to them. So now this add on is very useful for me to know about people world wide, I am very happy with it. It is also very easy to start and use . As it open just a click in my Mozilla browser. I will continue using this add-on till everybody understand and speak English. Thanks a lot. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (7.7.1-signed). IM Translator broke Firefox Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I wasn't aware that developers could censor the reviews. So here goes again ... When I updated to IM Translator 7.7, it broke Firefox. Tabs disappeared, icons didn't work, bookmarks didn't work. I reverted to version 7.5, and all worked OK again.
Looks like I'm not the only one having such problems. See reviews by Lone Wolf and xafemo.
ImTranslator v. 7.8
Please update ImTranslator to the version 7.8 and check the add-on functionalities. Hope this new update has solved all of the problems.
