Just under
var toolbar = document.getElementById("PersonalToolbar"); window.setToolbarVisibility(toolbar, display);
I've added
window.setToolbarVisibility(document.getElementById("TabsToolbar"), display);

Now I get simple one-click way to hide both toolbars - great for screen sharing to quickly hide distracting stuff.

Would be good to add this officially, as option maybe.

I love it. I mean it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

OFF new page, ON new tab, Auto hide, Toggle, key/mouse shortcut, ... and smile.

Awesome Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works perfectly as far as I can tell. Great application

Great! Would be better if overlayed over page! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

After hassling with the Roomy Bookmarks Toolbar (RBT) add-on which is buggy, I came back to this. I use the mouse activation method over a toolbar (so essentially all the top part of Firefox). The reason I was trying RBT is that it could display the toolbar overlaid on the page, instead of bumping the page down to insert the toolbar. This way you don't bump the page up and down when you move the mouse into/out of the upper side of Firefox -- it gets annoying when you come back to the page and want to click a link or input box and the page bumps back up, messing your aim ...

Would you consider adding this feature?

Does exactly what it says, now have a shortcut key to show/hide the bookmarks toolbar. Thanks Felix.

I use this to assign a keyboard shortcut to hiding the bookmarks bar. It works.

The bookmarks bar hiding options work well but I don't have much use for them.

The show/hide navigation bar button is clean and also useful.

How can I cange hotkey combination to Ctrl + Shift + B (as in Chrome) Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have just switched from Chrome and I want to save myself from memorizing new combination. Since Ctrl + Shift + B in Firefox by default brings up the bookmark window, I change this to something else. I then change the hotkey combination in Hide Bookmark option to Ctrl + Shift + B and restart - but it doens't work. Am I missing something? Thanks.

Edit: This issue was solved.

Now can't live without this extension :D Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Firefox has lousily bookmark bar, Chrome has better bookmark bar (it saves vertical space). Firefox + Hide Bookmarks Bar are better than Chrome :D
I would like one option, when I unhide bookmark bar with shorcut to show it for all tabs, not only for one tab (option for hide/unhide with mouse is checked) :D
When will you adopt restarless extension api?
And, as always. Keep up good work :D

Одно из дополнений, что я ставлю в первую очередь. Работает без нареканий.

Perfect Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Exactly what I was looking for: Opens the bookmark bar on a new tab and closes it when loading page.

Terrific Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works great. I customized the shortcut. The default was ctrl+alt+L but that logs out user on ubuntu. alt+shift+L seems to have no conflicts.

Handy tool.But the dropmarker is unnecessary because you can change its setting by going to the addon page.

Private Browsing Rated 4 out of 5 stars

To have behavior consistent with Google Chrome, a new tab in private browsing mode should also display the bookmarks bar. This can be done by changing a line in browser-overlay.js to

if(uri == "about:blank" || uri == "about:newtab" || uri == "about:privatebrowsing")
display = true;

Great addon, missing a feature Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I just installed Hide Bookmarksbar and I'm very satisfied. However, I would like to have two more features:
* change sensitivity (when using mouse mode)
* to be able to use mouse mode and keyboard shortcut mode at the same time (radio buttons => checkboxes)
