Simply fantastic. I just love this one. The incredible flexibility is a blessing when you're working on multiple networks!!! Thank you for this.

Great extension, the best of the proxy tools I've tried yet. Author is very responsive to user input as well.

Not true - 2.8.1 works Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Not true - I'm using FF 2.0.0.14 and foxyproxy 2.8.1 without the XPCSafeJSObjectWrapper error - 2.8.0 does have that issue but the 2.8.1 release fixed it.
If you still have the error you can post a bug report - I did.

I use Foxyproxy to automatically route web requests through 2 proxies at work and no proxy at home with no manual intervention on my behalf - job done.
Foxyproxy is powerful and easy to use - buy it now! oh wait... it's free.

version 2.8.1. does NOT work on FF2 (2.0.0.14) Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Exception: ReferenceError: XPCSafeJSObjectWrapper is not defined. That prevents using this add-on on FF2 (2.0.0.14). Version 2.8.0 worked and I am getting this when tried to upgrade. Please FIX!

Little Problem Rated 2 out of 5 stars

it doesn't work OK on FireFoxProtable (at least on the FF3 version). when i change from pc and the drive letter changes it give me a error message on FF startup about foxyproxy can't find \foxyproxy.xml and that it will be disabled.
altought foxyproxy has a lot of interesting features, it's a little complicated for what i want it for (quickly change the lan proxy when i go from client to client) so i'm using MultiProxy Switch instead

What's the point? Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I don't get it... If an IT-admin can block access to porn servers, gambling servers and game servers, he can block access to proxy servers to. Any IT-admin with half a brain would do so, rendering this little thing useless.

Are there really enough malconfigured workplace site access filters around that this extension actually has merit?

Very Nice Add-on. Does basically what I want it to do which is be able to assign URLs to Specific proxies.

Definitely not an Add on for people who are just used to "plug and play" although the configuration was easy enough to learn and set up.
Eric's support is Quite Good as well, so IF you know what you want to do as far as proxy management is concerned, I would recommend this one.

hello mr (or mrs) moderator.
please delete my previous two reviews for:
foxtor
foxyproxy.

despite my initial frustrations with these extensions (and I believe they are proably correct with foxtor at least) I believe my problems which I mentioned in my review or foxyproxy were incorrectly attributed to foxyproxy. in fact it seems that since installing foxtor I cannot install any other extension. in fact even though I have uninstalled that extension I cannot even do the 'log in' on this website and have resorted to using mozilla (which is a far superior product) . So anyway I'd hate for my pissed-off reviews of foxyproxy to be shown there when the problem I had is not their fault at all. so can you please delete my previous comment on the foxy proxy page. thanks. I don't know what this shitty foxtor thing has done, but I guess I'll have to delete ~/.mozilla/firefox again and waste another hour re-installing extensions other than foxtor.
cheers

first of all I apologise for my previous review. the extension 'foxtor' stuffed up my firefox installation so I switched to using mozilla while writing a review of that, and then I tried foxyproxy, which failed (since I was using mozilla not firefox) and I wrote a bad review.
which is pretty ironic because as I've discovered the stupid firefox extensions web site is so demented it won't allow me to log in and write these reviews (though I have no probs with mozilla), and 2. it gives me 'download error' when I try to install foxy proxy.and 3. now it has decided to only treat xpi files as downloads and not offer the option to install them. So basically I say firefox is a joke. don't judge this extension based on my previous review ( perhaps the 'moderator' who reads this can remove the previos one) but do judge it on this one because I'm using a fresh firefox user preferences directory here and it still cannot successfully install. so anyway 'fox tor' is useless, 'foxy proxy' doesn't install, so now I'll try torbutton, which I've used before with absolutely no problems. I searched for torbutton and thought I'd give these new extensions a go but now I wish I hadn't wasted my time.

what can I say. it offers 'more features' than everything else supposedly (by their own claims) however it fails to have the 'feature' of being installable. ie install fails with 'install script not found'. what a joke. what a waste of time.

Not so hot Rated 2 out of 5 stars

It gets the job done, but man is the UI a mess. The add-on is also not very intuitive nor easy to use.

Can't make a filter on proxy profile. This is vary important to me. Also I would like to toggle only to settings on icon click instead toggling thru default settings as well
