Mozilla Labs - Prism

Bewertet mit 2 von 5 Sternen

It's a great idea but not quite there yet. Without preserving my add-ons (Better Gmail 2 and Greasemonkey) the stand-alone Gmail Prism is not nearly as cool as a Gmail tab or window in Firefox. I'd like it to be, but it's just not.

Glad to see that the Ffox community is taking some of the better ideas from G$$gle Chrome though.

Tabgroups-Plus

Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternen

A great idea, but not quite there for me. Something that would be nice to have at work is a tab group for work sites (ftp, email, etc.) and then another (or more) for non-work sites. Ideally these would be hidden so that a coworker, even one leaning over my shoulder to look at my screen, couldn't tell that I am also reading web comics in another group. A drop down button might be a great way to covertly switch between tab groups. To go the extra mile there could also be a keyboard shortcut to switch b/w groups or a single "Panic Button" shortcut that could bring up the work tab group. The other thing a drop-down menu would accomplish is saving screen real estate. There is already so much space wasted in the chrome that I have to have a VERY good reason to add another row or anything.

IE Tab

Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

For those annoying web applications (Netflix!!) that will only work in IE, it's nice to not have to leave Firefox. This add-on is one of the primary reasons Firefox hasn't lost out to Google Chrome as my default browser.

Distrust

Great add-on. It is much better than Stealther because it still allows you to create preferences for the session (like turning Google SafeSearch on/off) but then clears out all preferences and history when the window is closed. It would be nice if this could load only for one tab like Chrome's incognito mode but I realize it might not be possible in Firefox.
