Thanks for your review!
I received an email today from a user with the same problem. I will try to reproduce this.
Are you still using Palemoon or does this problem also occur with the latest firefox? Some more info which might help reproducing this issue: are you using the current stable version of the add-on or the new 3.0.0alpha? Which OS and firefox version are you using; any special addons like requestpolicy?, etc.

needed this for my Youtube as of recent. Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

My Youtube only plays HTML5 and adding this addon helps me see the video where as it only played sound.

The request to add permission 1080p Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

Very good addition. It would be desirable to add the only thing 1080p

If you have firefox 37 or above on windows vista or above, you can use the new alpha version of this add-on, which supports resolutions up to 4k:

Thanks for the version 3.0.0 alpha!
Works smoothly with all resolutions, including MSR ones and 60 fps. Paused start also works nicely.

3.0 does not work on "For new visitors" page correctly ("an error occured"), at least it switch to html5. But 2.1 does not even switch to html5 on this page.
Also "youtube video resolution" does not work.
Firefox 39.

I am not sure which page you mean, maybe you can send me a link?
Regarding the video resolutions: do they work when you switch them on the video manually? Which OS are you using?

Not working with the current FF version 37.0.1: "An error occured, please try again later"

Under firefox 37 the mse (media source extensions) are now enabled by default for youtube. Add-ons like RequestPolicy or similar ones might block mse leading to this error (There is already a beta of a RequestPolicy successor that works with mse).

You could also try disabling mse under about:config, however 1080p and higher resolutions on youtube are only available with mse enabled.

Additionally I have just uploaded a new alpha of the upcomping version 3.0.0 of my add-on that works much better with mse enabled than the current (quite old) stable version. You can find it at the bottom of the page under Development Channel.

Me gusta la addon. Pero como que siento que anula las mejoras de vídeo del AMD Catalyst, lo seguiré probando.

Cuts the video before it's finished and sounds are suddenly dissapearing. Bewertet mit 2 von 5 Sternen

Cuts the video before it's finished and sounds are suddenly dissapearing.

Could it be that you are using MSE? (media.mediasource.enabled set to true in about:config)
Media source extensions still have some bugs, which is why they are disabled by default (in stable firefox versions).

Unstable. Crashes. No Starts. Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternen

This add-on has cause random crashes, instability and has stopped FF from starting properly, even if FF does not have YouTube running. I have disabled this add-on and all of these problems have gone away after using it for several weeks.

I am sorry that you had problems with my addon.
I have not seen such problems yet. If you want, you can contact me via email and I will try to reproduce these problems.

Great addon, with FireFox Version 36.0 now supports HTML5 1080p play back if "media.mediasource.enabled" is turned on in the about:config setup, can the developer please update the settings to allow this. Thanks.

Thank you for your review!
This will be added in the next beta, which I will release soon. You can already install the current beta at the bottom of the addon page and you will receive the new one automatically.

Great extension, works as advertised Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

This is a great review, it works exactly as advertised. And with Upcoming releases of Firefox offering full HTML5 support, this will be very useful.

It would be nice to see higher options for quality, given that it will be possible to use them in upcoming Firefox releases.

Excellent Addon, it helps me to watch Youtube video's Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternen

This plugin helps me to play Youtube videos, I run a Hackintosh system: iAtkos ML 10.8.4 and I have the issue where the standard Youtube player displays the blocky pink and green screen, it then proceeds to lock up my system and I have to restart, using this Addon gets round that until I either upgrade to Yosemite or find a fix

Thank you for taking the time to write this Addon,

HTML5 video produces an color space bug in Firefox (The video will be slow in contrast.). It's not recommend to use HTML5 video in FF.

I have been using html5 videos for a long time under windows and linux and never had any problems.
But even if there were such problems, these are likely firefox bugs and I am not sure why you would blame my addon for it. It just forces youtube to use its html5 player, but the videos themselves are handled by firefox.

Eine solche Option ist bereits für die nächste Version geplant [1], allerdings weiß ich leider noch nicht, wann diese erscheinen wird.
