Warum wurde "MinimizeToTray revived" geschaffen?

I myself was a user of the original MinimizeToTray. Then when I switched to Thunderbird 3.0 (nightlies) I learned that the original wasn't compatible nor was there a compatible version planned.
Furthermore I started using Songbird, a music player powered by mozilla technology, and the support for the original stopped there too.
Developing add-ons for quite some time I accepted this new challange and so I implemented my own add-on, trying to make it more generally usable and easier to maintain.
After contacting Mook, the author of the original, he kindly provided me assistance and advice.
In the process I learned a lot of new things about using C++ in add-ons and the mozilla build system.

The result of all this is MinimizeToTray revived, which I hope will serve well for other users too.

Was kommt als Nächstes für MinimizeToTray revived

Planned, among other things, is a version for Linux/Gnome and support for Sunbird, the mozilla calendar software, and Seamonkey.
Application-specific integration is an ongoing process, too.

Furthermore I receive a lot of suggestions via mail and I try to read them all and implement them where it makes sense.
